If the Intelligent Designer of Intelligent Design is so intelligent...

...then why couldn't the Intelligent Designer figure out a way to design a hemoglobin gene variant that makes people resistant to malaria but doesn't also cause sickle cell anemia? Or does the Intelligent Designer just not like black people very much?

...then why did the Intelligent Designer design human eyes with retinas which sit on top of the blood vessels — which allows the retina of the human eye to become detached easily — rather than make human eyes like squid eyes, where the blood supply sits atop the retina and holds it in place? Or does the Intelligent Designer just like squids more than people?
